Laura is presented as an extremely shy and sensitive person. Her shyness is emphasized even more by being contrasted with Amanda's forceful and almost brutal nature. We are made aware almost immediately of Laura's overly sensitive nature. She is so nervous that she cannot even attend business school without becoming violently sick. She is frightened and nervous when Tom and Amanda quarrel. She possesses a glass menagerie which she cares for with great tenderness. And she has withdrawn from the world — a withdrawal from what is real into what is make-believe. A literary festival named after the renowned playwright.

Laura has a slight physical defect — a limp — but she has magnified this limp until it has affected her entire personality. Laura's oversensitive nature makes her think that everyone notices her limp ; it becomes for her a huge stumbling block to normal living. She cannot get over it and into the real world. Her inability to overcome this defect causes her to withdraw into her world of illusion. The limp then becomes symbolic of Laura's inner nature. As Tom says, it's not just Laura's being crippled that makes her different, but she is just different. So she lives in a world of old phonograph records and glass animals.

And then the gentleman caller arrives. For the first time we see Laura's inner charm. She is fresh and pretty, and she does have charm — not as Amanda wants it, but in her own individualistic way. She is even capable of forgetting her physical handicap. She responds to Jim because he responds to her difference. With Jim, she sees that her difference is an asset and not a handicap. But ironically, she leads Jim more into her world than she enters into his. Thus, when the evening is over, when the unicorn is broken and the hopes are shattered, Laura does not have to retreat back into her world because she has never left it sufficiently enough to necessitate the retreat. Quite the contrary, now that the unicorn is broken, is ordinary like Jim, she sends it forth with Jim, and she remains in her unique world with the other unique glass animals.

Ce papier traite du comportement vu de trois plans nommés RSI : Réalité, Symbolique, Imaginaire.

D'un point de vue personnel, l'on pourrait penser qu'une réalité équivaut à la vérité. Elle serait influencée par un récit. Ce récit est lui-même dicté par une idéologie. Or si elle influencée par un récit, elle ne peut être universelle, que l'on parle de réalité ou de vérité. Les récits diffèrent d'un espace géographique à l'autre et d'une époque à l'autre. L'exemple qui illustre le mieux ces propos c'est la perception d'un verre d'eau à moitié rempli. Certains diront que le verre est « rempli à moitié », d'autres plutôt « vide à moitié ». Il est donc question de perception, d'interprétation. Ces dernières renvoient également à l'idéologie.

Et qu'est-ce que l'idéologie si ce n'est pas un symbole. Ce symbole est un dénominateur commun d'une population. Il est à la fois un facteur de représentativité et d'assemblée. Il est représentatif car chaque individu dans ladite population s'y identifie et s'y reconnaît. Il est également rassemblant car les individus formant ladite population se réunissent autour de ce symbole qui devient une source d'unité entre ces individus.

Un symbole pourrait être réel ou fictif, concret ou virtuel et donc imaginaire. Le symbol est réel lorsqu'il est associé à un personnage ou un événement marquant dans l'histoire d'une nation donnée. Il est cependant imaginaire lorsqu'il s'agit d'un fantasme historique créé et promu dans un but spécifique, à titre d'exemple pour encourager ou rendre fière une nation. Une population aurait besoin d'un imaginaire collectif qui incarne ses valeurs et principes.

La neuvième édition (actuelle) du dictionnaire de l'Académie Française définit le nom « réel » comme « ce qui existe effectivement ». Elle fait référence à la théorie de Jacques Lacan dans le domaine psychanalyste, en soulignant le « réel » comme la chose à laquelle « un sujet » (probablement la personne malade traitée lors des essais cliniques) est confronté sans pouvoir y trouver d'équivalent en symbolique ou en imaginaire. Le réel est donc vu comme un traumatisme. Quant à l'adjectif « réel », il y est présenté comme un fait concret, relatif à la nature vraie de la chose dite « essence ». Le mot « réel » est dérivé du latin et signifie « la chose ou le bien que l'on possède ».

Dans cette même édition, le mot « symbolique » nous vient du latin pour dire « significatif » et du grec pour dire « explicable via un signe ». Le mot est présenté à la fois comme nom féminin et adjectif. En tant que nom féminin, il représente un « ensemble de symboles » partagés dans un environnement donné que ce soit au sein d'une nation, d'une secte, d'une ethnie, d'une idéologie religieuse ou politique, etc. Quant à l'adjectif, il renvoie à un geste dont la valeur réside uniquement dans l'intention. Dans l'école structuraliste, l'adjectif renvoie à un aspect humain et social d'un phénomène donné. L'on peut donc dire qu'un geste symbolique vise à marquer l'importance de la chose, dans le sens mélioratif, ou à marquer l'insignifiance de la chose, dans le sens péjoratif.

Quant au mot « imaginaire », ladite édition souligne qu'il provient du latin « d'image ; qui existe dans l'imagination ». Il fait donc opposition à la « réalité ».

D'un point de vue scientifique, le trio « Réalité, Symbolique, Imaginaire » se fut présenté dans les années 1950 puis développé dans les décennies qui suivent (1960, 1970) par le psychiatre et psychanalyste français Jacques Lacan (1901-1981). Lacan s'est inspiré dans sa métaphore du RSI d'autres auteurs français et suisses, principalement linguistes. Pour expliquer sa métaphore, Lacan distingue deux éléments : le signifiant qui renvoie à la symbolique et le signifié qui renvie à l'imaginaire. Ces éléments furent présentés en 1953 et approfondis lors de son vingt-deuxième séminaire ayant eu lieu en 1974-1975.

Lacan explique que le signifiant est plus qu'un son. C'est une image acoustique produite pour désigner une chose particulière. Lorsque l'on prononce le mot « chaise », le son produit envoie un signal à notre cerveau qui fait le lien avec la chose correspondante : « la chaise » en l'occurence. Ceci devient donc le signifié. Le signifiant représente ici la symbolique et le signifié l'imaginaire. Le signifié pourrait avoir plusieurs signifiants. Car le même signifié peut être lié à plusieurs images acoustiques qui varient en fonction de la langue dans laquelle l'image (le son) est produite. L'imaginaire serait la chose et la symbolique sa représentation.

Quant au réel, Lacan estime que le réel ou la réalité est l'impensable ou l'inatteignable. Ce serait ce qui dépasse notre savoir, notre capacité de connaissance. C'est pour cette raison que, pour Lacan, l'imaginaire pourrait être plus réel que la réalité. Le réel n'a lieu que par la symbolique et l'imaginaire.

Lacan démontre que cette trilogie (certains auteurs disent « ternaire » ou « trinité ») est culturellement liée. Le lien est à la fois logique et énigmatique. Serait-il aussi idéologique ? Sans l'imaginaire, que serait la symbolique ? Et sans la symbolique, que serait l'imaginaire ? Le réel n'est réel que par rapport à l'imaginaire et la symbolique. C'est pour cette raison que Lacan présente cette trilogie sous un nœud borroméen. Pour libérer un cercle, il faut défaire les deux autres.

Les trois plans « Réel, Symbolique, Imaginaire » se rencontrent et la rencontre de la symbolique et de l'imaginaire avec le réel est considérée comme un choc. L'on peut dire que ce ternaire représente une formalisation de la réalité humaine. L'on peut donc accepter ou refuser cette formalisation qui vise à la simplifier.

L'imbrication entre réalité et réel est intéressante. Le réel est considéré comme une « existence effective ». Il s'agit de tout ce qui existe dans le monde et que l'un ne peut nier ni contester. Tandis que la réalité représente la perception : notre perception du réel ou de ce qui est réel. L'école constructiviste des Relations Internationales souligne que tout individu (chercheur ou politique) est guidé par une série de codes qu'il aura acquis au cours de sa vie et qui constitue sa base de compréhension et d'interprétation du monde.

Pour conclure, l'un peut être confronté à des situations où il peut être convaincu de la pertinence et de la légitimité de ses pensées. Pour garantir un vivre ensemble entre peuples, il serait judicieux de comprendre et d'accepter que la légitimité de l'un ne met pas forcément en cause la légitimité de l'autre. Ceci est d'un point de vue humaniste. Or, d'un point de vue étatique, c'est plutôt le principe de l'hégémonie qui règne. Il est important de souligner ici qu'il ne faut pas prendre l'hégémonie au sens péjoratif. Chaque représentation politique d'un État a la responsabilité devant sa population. Elle doit donc œuvrer à garantir le bon-vivre à sa population. Certes ceci ne justifie pas l'écrasement d'une autre population mais pourrait expliquer certains conflits du monde contemporains.

تقدم "بطيء، ولكن ثابت" في قطاع الغاز

تُعد علاقة بغداد مع واشنطن في قطاع الطاقة، بما في ذلك الغاز الطبيعي، من أهم الشراكات التي تسعى الحكومة العراقية إلى تعزيزها. فالولايات المتحدة تُعد أكبر منتج للغاز في العالم، وقد ساعدت صادراتها الضخمة من الغاز الطبيعي المسال (الغاز الطبيعي المُسال) أوروبا على استبدال الإمدادات الروسية خلال الحرب في أوكرانيا. تحتل احتياطيات العراق من الغاز، التي تصنف في المرتبة الثانية عشرة عالمياً، مكانة مهمة لكنها تُعد بمعظمها غازاً مصاحباً يُنتج بوصفه منتجاً ثانوياً لاستخراج النفط الخام، ولا سيما في الجنوب. ومع ذلك، لا يزال يتم حرق كميات كبيرة من هذا الغاز بشكل مهدور بدلاً من جمعه واستغلاله. ويُصنَّف العراق ضمن أسوأ خمس دول في العالم من حيث معدلات حرق الغاز؛ إذ أحرق في عام 2023 نحو 1200 مليون قدم مكعب قياسي يومياً، في الوقت الذي استورد فيه نحو 1000 مليون قدم مكعب من الغاز من إيران. وفي ذلك العام، فقدت شبكة الكهرباء العراقية 5000 ميغاواط بسبب انخفاض الإمدادات الإيرانية، التي تُعد غير موثوقة بطبيعتها. وقد تتكرر المشكلة نفسها هذا العام. والأخطر من ذلك أن هذه الواردات معرضة لخطر الانقطاع إلى أجل غير مسمى بسبب الصراع الأخير بين إيران وإسرائيل.

منذ ذلك الحين، تغيرت الأوضاع الإقليمية بشكل جذري، حيث تزامنت ظروف جديدة وغير مؤكدة في سوريا المجاورة مع جهود إدارة ترامب للحد من الوجود الأمريكي في الشرق الأوسط. ومع ذلك، لا يزال من الممكن أن تستند العلاقات الثنائية إلى المصالح الأمنية المشتركة.

تُظهِر الضربات الإسرائيلية على إنتاج الغاز المحلي في إيران الحاجة المُلحّة أمام العراق لتوسيع تعاونه مع الولايات المتحدة في مجال الطاقة، واستغلال الفرص الاقتصادية غير المُستثمرة في قطاع الغاز. وينبغي أن تركز بعض هذه الجهود الثنائية على الحد من حرق الغاز وتطوير حقول الغاز، كما هو الحال في حقل عكاس، أكبر حقل غاز غير مرتبط بالنفط الخام في العراق، حيث يُقال إن شركة خدمات النفط الأمريكية "إس إل بي" تشارك الآن في هذا المشروع. ويمكن لجهود أخرى أن تعالج هذه المشاكل ذاتها مع العمل على تنويع الاقتصاد العراقي في الوقت نفسه. على سبيل المثال:

يمكن أن تستفيد بغداد من نجاحات المملكة العربية السعودية في معالجة مشكلة حرق الغاز. في سبعينيات القرن الماضي، قررت الرياض البدء في التقاط الغاز المصاحب من خلال نظام غاز رئيسي، وهو شبكة من خطوط الأنابيب تربط مواقع الغاز في جميع أنحاء البلاد. وقد أسهم هذا الجهد في دعم عملية التصنيع داخل المملكة. واليوم، لا يزال النظام الموسع، الذي بدأ تشغيله في أوائل الثمانينيات، يستخدم تقنيات من شركات رائدة مقرها الولايات المتحدة، من بين دول أخرى.

على المدى القريب، يمكن أن يشمل التعاون العراقي مع القطاع الخاص الأمريكي استئجار وحدات تخزين وإعادة تغويز عائمة لاستيراد الغاز الطبيعي المسال، الذي يعمل العراق حالياً بوتيرة سريعة على إنشاء البنية التحتية اللازمة له في الجنوب. ونظراً لأن الولايات المتحدة دولة رائدة عالمياً في مجال الغاز الطبيعي المسال، يمكن أن تكون هذه فرصة أخرى للتعاون.

يجب على المسؤولين الأمريكيين والعراقيين مواصلة التخطيط والتنفيذ للانتقال إلى مرحلة ما بعد التحالف. ويشمل ذلك توقيع اتفاقية بشأن وضع القوات أو أي تفاهم ثنائي آخر يحدد الوضع القانوني المستمر للقوات الأمريكية في العراق. إلى جانب السماح لواشنطن بمواصلة دعم العراق في محاربة "تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية"، فإن مثل هذا الاتفاق سيظهر لإيران وشركائها من الميليشيات أن بغداد أعطت الأولوية لعلاقتها مع واشنطن. كما سيظهر للمستثمرين من القطاع الخاص أن كلا الحكومتين تعطيان الأولوية لأمن العراق، مما يجعل البلاد جاهزة للاستثمار.

Redefining and Strengthening the U.S.-Iraq Relationship Through Energy and Security

Iraq is more stable than it has been in decades but still faces enormous security and energy challenges, including the risk of spillover from Iran-Israel hostilities, dependence on unreliable Iranian gas amid untapped domestic opportunities, an untested Syrian government, and the unrelenting Islamic State threat.

Iraq's significant security and economic challenges are occurring at a time when Baghdad seeks to disentangle itself from the mission of the Global Coalition Against the Islamic State (IS) and restructure its relationship with the United States. Partnering with America on energy and security initiatives could not only further those Iraqi objectives, but also serve President Trump's policy goals, counter Iranian and Chinese influence in Iraq, create more economic opportunities, and facilitate wider efforts to stabilize the Middle East.

“Slow but Steady” Progress on Gas

One of the most important relationships Baghdad is seeking with Washington is in the energy sector, including natural gas. The United States is the world's largest gas producer, and its massive liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports have helped Europe replace Russian supplies during the Ukraine war. Iraq's gas reserves, the twelfth largest in the world, are predominantly associated gas produced as a byproduct of crude oil production, mainly in the south. However, a huge volume of this gas continues to be wastefully burned away instead of being captured and used. Iraq ranks among the world's five worst flaring countries; in 2023, it was flaring 1,200 million standard cubic feet per day of gas while importing 1,000 standard cubic feet from Iran. That year, the Iraqi power grid lost 5,000 megawatts due to reduced Iranian supplies, which generally are unreliable. The same problem could occur this year. Worse, these imports were at risk of being disrupted indefinitely due to the recent Iran-Israel conflict.

While Baghdad hopes to reach zero flaring by 2028, it is unclear how it will balance this objective with ambitions to boost oil production to more than 6 million barrels per day later this decade (Iraq is OPEC's second-largest oil producer). In recent years, it has made steady, albeit slow, progress to overcome its gas challenges, including flaring, with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani courting more firms from the United States and other countries to invest in this sector. However, technical and political challenges remain, including political intervention, corruption, and bureaucracy, which have caused project delays.

Nevertheless, some gas capture projects have started to gradually advance, including the massive, multi-energy Gas Growth Integrated Project (GGIP), led by France's TotalEnergies. This four-in-one project includes developing the Ratawi gas hub, which is expected to process 600 million standard cubic feet per day of associated gas from several oil fields in southern Iraq. In January, TotalEnergies and its partners, the Basra Oil Company and QatarEnergy, launched construction of the first processing facility for associated gas from the Ratawi field in Basra province. The facility, part of the GGIP, is expected to process 50 million cubic feet per day of previously flared gas, which will then be used for local power generation.

Chinese companies have won some of the contracts for GGIP construction work, and Beijing is also involved in other key gas projects in Iraq, including the Halfaya Gas Processing Plant, which began operations in June 2024. Meanwhile, the Basrah Gas Company, a joint venture between Iraq's South Gas Company, Shell, and Mitsubishi, was considered the “largest single” associated gas project in Iraq as of last year, processing the output of Rumaila, West Qurna 1, and Zubair, three giant oil fields in the south.

Nevertheless, Iraq's energy sector remains vulnerable. In May, it lost about 4,000 megawatts due to low Iranian gas supplies, and also because Washington ended waivers to import Iranian electricity earlier this year. All these challenges should prompt Baghdad to prioritize solving its gas and electricity problems.

Security Partnership

Increased energy cooperation between the United States and Iraq requires not only a positive investment climate, but also enduring security. To entice investors, Iraq must demonstrate its stability and security by addressing the longstanding problems of meddling external actors and internal strife. For Washington, this means that Baghdad must continue to focus first on countering IS, and second on minimizing the threat from Iran-backed militias (which could expand if clashes between Iran and Israel resume).

Since 2014, U.S. forces have been stationed in Iraq at Baghdad's invitation as part of the Global Coalition Against IS. After the territorial defeat of IS in Iraq in 2017, Washington focused on advising, assisting, and enabling Baghdad to continue countering the group, primarily with intelligence sharing and funding. In 2023—amid further successes against IS as well as Iranian pressure to minimize U.S. influence—Iraq initiated the end of the coalition's mission and sought to put U.S.-Iraqi relations on a more bilateral footing.

Since then, regional conditions have changed drastically, with new, uncertain circumstances next door in Syria coinciding with Trump administration efforts to reduce America's Middle East footprint. However, the bilateral relationship can still be based on joint security interests.

For Iraq, the mission to counter IS remains critical and will have continued U.S. support. While the group is severely weakened, having claimed only five attacks in Iraq so far in 2025, it still seeks to exploit fractures in the country. Furthermore, Iraq is grappling with overcrowded prisons filled with al-Qaeda and IS affiliates, along with a commitment to repatriate all IS-affiliated Iraqi families from Syria by 2026. All this comes as U.S. funding for repatriation and stabilization is being cut. Absent investment in these programs, Iraq's ability to successfully reintegrate individuals repatriated and released from prison will be highly compromised.

Additionally, Iranian meddling has affected Iraq's economy and security. For example, Iran-backed militias threaten to undermine the government, compromise Iraq's security forces, and directly target U.S. forces and bases. During the recent Iran-Israel conflict, they once again threatened to attack U.S. interests in the region if Washington intervened in the war. As Baghdad looks to create a positive economic and security relationship with Washington, it must diminish the influence of these actors.

Recommendations

Israel's strikes on Iran's domestic gas production make it more pressing for Iraq to expand energy cooperation with the United States and explore untapped economic opportunities in its gas sector. Some of these bilateral efforts should focus on reducing flaring and developing gas fields, as seen in the case of Akkas, Iraq's largest non-associated gas field (i.e., not linked to crude oil production), where the U.S.-based oil services firm SLB is now reportedly involved. Other efforts could address some of the same problems while simultaneously diversifying Iraq's economy. For example:

Baghdad can learn from Saudi Arabia's successes in tackling gas flaring. In the 1970s, Riyadh decided to start capturing associated gas through a master gas system—a network of pipelines connecting gas sites across the country. This effort helped industrialize the kingdom. Today, the expanded system, which became operational in the early 1980s, continues to use technologies from leading firms based in the United States, among other countries.
An Iraqi Oil Ministry report raised the possibility of involving the U.S. company KBR in the long-delayed Nebras petrochemical project in the south. Iraq's associated gas is rich in ethane, a natural gas liquid used to produce ethylene, which would serve as a key input in any future petrochemical industry. This is an area Baghdad can seriously explore with U.S. companies.
In the more immediate term, Iraqi cooperation with the U.S. private sector could include chartering floating storage and regasification units to import LNG, for which Iraq has been racing to lay down the required infrastructure in the south. The United States is a global LNG leader, so this could be another opportunity for cooperation.

The recent visit of a high-level U.S. trade delegation to Baghdad showed that expanding bilateral cooperation on energy is possible. For this to succeed, however, Iraqi security and stability are crucial, especially amid the geopolitical risks presented by the Iran-Israel conflict. More specifically:

Washington and Baghdad must continue to address the multifaceted IS threat, counter threats from Iran-backed militias, and ensure that no state or nonstate actors are able to destabilize the domestic security situation.
U.S. and Iraqi officials should continue planning and implementing the transition to the post-coalition period. This includes signing a status of forces agreement or other bilateral understanding that defines the continued legal status of U.S. forces in Iraq. Besides allowing Washington to continue supporting Iraq's fight against IS, such an agreement would show Iran and its militia partners that Baghdad has prioritized its relationship with Washington. It would also show private-sector investors that both governments are prioritizing Iraq's security, making the country ripe for investment.

Fondée en 1957, elle délivre trois masters professionnels accessibles à tout titulaire d'une licence : « Interprétation de conférence », « Traduction éditoriale, économique et technique » et « Interprétation en langue des signes française ». Histoire :

L'ESIT a été précédée par un « Institut des hautes études d'interprétariat », fondé à la Sorbonne en 1951 par la Société des amis de l'université. Placé sous l'autorité du professeur Georges Matoré, l'Institut fonctionne dans un premier temps de manière indépendante. En 1957, il est officiellement rattaché à l'Université de Paris, sous l'impulsion du recteur de l'académie, Jean Sarrailh, et du secrétaire général de l'université, Pierre Bartoli. Au même moment, Danica Seleskovitch, chargée de cours, réorganise en profondeur l'enseignement de l'Institut et le renomme « École supérieure d'interprètes et de traducteurs ».

Après avoir fonctionné de 1968 à 2021 au centre universitaire Dauphine, elle bénéficie à partir de janvier 2022 de nouveaux locaux au campus Nation.

Description générale :

L'enseignement de l'ESIT est basé sur une démarche pédagogique originale[réf. nécessaire] appelée « théorie interprétative de la traduction ».

L'ESIT fait partie de la Fédération internationale des traducteurs (FIT), de la Conférence internationale permanente d'instituts universitaires de traducteurs et interprètes (en) (CIUTI), ainsi que des programmes European Masters in Conference Interpreting (EMCI) et EMT (Master européen en traduction). Wer ist Olaf Scholz der neue deutsche Kanzler ?

Der Sozialdemokrat Olaf Scholz wurde diese Mittwoch den 8. Dezember offiziell als Bundeskanzler vom Bundestag und dann vom Präsident Frank-Walter Steinmeier angesetzt. Porträt des Nachfolger von Angela Merkel.

Nach die deutschen Bundeswahlen von den 26. September sind die Sozialdemokraten mit mehr als 25% an die Spitze gekommen. Mit diesem starken Resultat, haben die SPD-Leiter für mehrere Wochen ein RegierungsVertrag mit zwei Partner ausgehandelt : die Grünen und die liberale von FDP. Eine Tricolore Koalition jetzt unter Olaf Scholz .

Gingen hervor/ an die Spitze

Eine lange politische Karriere

Olaf Scholz stammt aus Niedersachsen im Nordwesten des Landes und kann auf eine lange politische Erfahrung zurückblicken. Der 63-jährige ehemalige Rechtsanwalt trat 1975 in die Sozialdemokratische Partei (SPD) ein. 1998 wurde er zum ersten Mal zum Abgeordneten gewählt.

Als Mitglied des rechten Flügels seiner Partei und enger Vertrauter des ehemaligen Bundeskanzlers Gerhard Schröder trat er Anfang der 2000er Jahre für die Liberalisierung des Arbeitsmarktes ein. Olaf Scholz wurde von 2007 bis 2009 Minister für Arbeit und Soziales in der von Angela Merkel geführten Regierung. In dieser Zeit baute er die Kurzarbeit für Arbeitnehmer aus und führte Mindestlöhne für einzelne Berufszweige ein.

Von 2011 bis 2018 war er Bürgermeister von Hamburg und wurde anschließend zum Vizekanzler und Finanzminister in der neuen Koalitionsregierung aus Konservativen und Sozialdemokraten ernannt. In dieser Zeit bekennt er sich zu einer strikten Haushaltsdisziplin, die er auch im Wahlkampf immer wieder bekräftigt.

Covid-19, Konjunkturpaket und Kanzleramt

Angesichts der Covid-19-Pandemie startet er 2020 inseinem Land ein Rettungspaket in Höhe von 1,1 Billionen Euro und unterstützt die gemeinsame Verschuldung der Mitgliedsstaaten, die durch das europäische Konjunkturprogramm in Höhe von 750 Milliarden Euro konkretisiert wird. Lange Stunden der Verhandlungenzwischen den 27 Mitgliedstaaten, die seinen französischen Amtskollegen Bruno Le Maire, der von Le Monde zitiert wurde, zu der Aussage veranlassten, dass Olaf Scholz ein 'zäher Gesprächspartner, der in der Lage ist, nächtelang zu verhandeln und dabei jedesnoch so kleine Detail zu diskutieren, aber solide und immer loyal' sei.

Der neue Kanzler hat jedoch in den letzten Jahren einige Rückschläge erlitten. Seine Stadt scheiterte bei der Bewerbung um die Olympischen Spiele 2024 nach einem lokalen Referendum,bei dem die Mehrheit der Einwohner 'Nein' zu dem Projekt sagte. Es gelingt ihm nicht, den Vorsitz seiner Partei im November 2019 zu erobern, da die Aktivisten seine als linker eingeschätzten Konkurrenten vorziehen.

Olaf Scholz wird jedoch im August 2020 zum Kanzlerkandidaten der SPD ernannt. Er ist moderat, für seinen Pragmatismus und sein manchmal nüchternes Auftreten bekannt und stellt sich als Fortsetzer der Politik von Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel dar, die allerdings aus der Konkurrenzpartei stammt. Zunächst lag er in den Umfragen hinter der Kandidatin der Grünen, Annalena Baerbock, und dem Vorsitzenden derKonservativen, Armin Laschet, zurück, doch schließlich gewann er die Oberhand und die Sozialdemokraten gewannen die Bundestagswahl.

Am 24. November stellen die Vorsitzenden von SPD, Grünen und FDP ihren neuen Koalitionsvertrag vor. 23 Jahre nach seinem Einzug in den Bundestag wird Olaf Scholz am 8. Dezember 2021 der vierte sozialdemokratische Kanzler der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.

Kamitz, issu du parti conservateur, va lutter contre l'infraction. L'événement le plus important de ces années rap, Kamitz, c'est le traité d'États signé dans le palais du Belvédère entre l'Autriche et les quatre puissances occupantes. Les troupes étrangères quittent l'Autriche, contrairement à l'Allemagne où les armées vont rester jusqu'à la chute du mur. L'Autriche s'engage pour justifier que l'occupation est plus nécessaire à être un pays neutre. L'Autriche va avoir un statut similaire à celui de la Suisse et dans sa constitution mention de neutralité perpétuelle. Léopold Figl est le partisan qui a permis la fin de l'occupation de l'Autriche. Le 15 mai 1955, l'Autriche redevient une entité à part entière dans le concert des nations. Il déclarera : « L'Autriche est libre » et surtout « ici s'achève un long et douloureux chemin de 17 ans sans liberté » occupation alliée beaucoup plus soft que celui de l'Allemagne nazi. Gouvernement en place dès le départ pas de régime totalitaire avec des camps etc et très peu de gestion de la part des alliés. Pourtant, il y a eu des camps de concentration. L'idée contenue dans la réponse 2 a été assez partagée par la population. Figl a présenté ce traité à la foule depuis le balcon du Belvédère, marquant le retour de l'Autriche sur la scène internationale.

L'URSS est partie de son plein gré sachant que bien souvent elle cherche à garder ses positions stratégiques via les partis frères du Parti communiste ou alors se désengage après de longues luttes alors pourquoi ? 4 raisons : faible score du Parti communiste en Autriche et donc pour raison de réalisme, l'URSS se dit que c'est un parti perdu, ensuite 1953, mort de Staline et après guerre de Corée, volonté de détente mais compétition symbolique technique économique avec les USA donc moyen de montrer bonne volonté en lâchant du lest, 3ème raison l'Autriche, pays l'URSS pour qu'elle parte en leur donnant du pétrole et enfin raison géostratégique, avoir une Autriche neutre c'était plutôt quelque chose de positif pour les Soviétiques parce que ça crée une sorte d'espace bloquant les lignes de communications entre l'Allemagne et l'Italie notamment, pays soviétiques plus compacts alors que pays alliés plus disséminés avec Autriche et Suisse qui bloque le passage un peu.

Autriche occupée

1955, c'est aussi une renaissance autrichienne, aussi politique que culturelle, avec la réouverture de l'opéra et du premier théâtre de langue allemande, Burgtheater ou Bögetheater ??? Le choix de la première pièce va être symbolique avec la fortune et la fin du roi Ottokar de Grillparzer. Roi de Bohême du 13e siècle, rouverain de Styrie et de Carniote, territoire aujourd'hui autrichien et parmi les Länder de nos jours. Un des souverains les plus puissants de son époque, qui avait des vues sur l'Autriche et va se heurter à La Défense valeureuse par un petit noble qui s'appelle Rudolf de Habsbourg, fondateur de la grande dynastie. Fin de la pièce posé problème parce que c'est un éloge à la famille impériale et ils ont été supprimés. L'opéra d'État rouvre le 5 novembre 1955 avec l'œuvre de Beethoven, Fidelio.

Le wiener gruppe poème dans une langue dialectale. D'un point de vue plus politique, on a une pièce de 1961 der herr Karl, qui fait défilé toutes les années autrichiennes de 1920 à 1960, des personnages qui s'adaptent à tous les régimes et donc critiquent la société autrichienne de l'époque, jouée surtout dans des cabarets, donc publique assez restreinte. Peter Handke, prix Nobel de la littérature en 2019, assez controversé à cause de sa prise de position controversée sur la guerre en Yougoslavie. Grande coalition avec ÖVP et SPÖ et de manière systématique c'est une des spécificités du système autrichien, une sorte de contre-pied à ce qui a été fait sous la première république. La stabilité de la république est un caractère fondamental de la réussite autrichienne. La révolution hongroise va provoquer une fuite de Hongrois qui ne veulent plus vivre dans un régime totalitaire et donc 150k et 180k qui quittent le pays pour aller d'abord en Autriche mais ne vont pas rester, souvent continuée à s'exiler vers d'autres pays, souvent les USA. L'Autriche va être en mesure d'accueillir ces étrangers malgré la taille du pays etc donc montre la réussite du pays. Ce qui marque la république, c'est la stabilité électorale, mais ça se perd avec la première grande crise en 1961 lorsque le fils de l'empereur va revenir pour effectuer une visite. Dans un premier temps, les Habsbourg sont interdits de séjour en Autriche. Lorsque le fils déclare venir, les socialistes s'y opposent car, contre la loi et côté socialiste, il ne donne pas assez de garanties pour prémunir d'un éventuel putsch et on va avoir des manifestations. La famille a le droit de venir à titre privé à condition de remplir les prérequis nécessaires. Les catholiques n'ont rien contre la visite du fils de l'empereur, bien au contraire car parti proche de la famille impériale et pour eux c'est une visite d'État qui permettait de valoriser la culture autrichienne. Pour la première fois, les sociaux vont voter contre leur partenaire et vont obtenir ce qu'ils veulent. On a un tournant dans la pratique politique avec une opposition qui existait de manière idéologique et qui se manifeste par le vote. Finalement, il pourra revenir en 1966 car premier gouvernement ÖVP monocolore.

Le passé monarchique joue un rôle dans la politique autrichienne et un autre passé va jouer un rôle important, à savoir le passé nazi. Taras Borodajkewycz va se livrer de temps en temps à des remarques anti-autrichiennes voire antisemite pendant ses cours à l'université et des étudiants vont rendre ça public, ce qui va donner lieu à des anifesrztion anti fichiste. Ça va attirer encore plus l'attention sur son cas, qui va être mis à la retraite d'office. Cette sanction est venue tardivement, il a fallu la mort d'un ancien député et de manifestations pour que cela ait lieu. L'idée que l'Autriche est la première victime est régulièrement contredite par des événements comme ceux cités. Aussi, des innovations du côté de la société autrichienne avec une partition des femmes en politique, notamment Grete Rehor, ministre des Affaires Sociales dans un gouvernement particulier parce que pour la première fois, un parti monocolore au pouvoir en 1966, donc dirigé le pays seul, et le chancelier va vouloir moderniser l'Autriche avec des femmes aux pouvoirs, mais également en augmentant les places à l'université et une meilleure représentation, pacifier les relations avec l'Italie avec les tensions liées au Tyrol du Sud. Depuis 1946, il y a des accords qui prévoient le respect de la communauté allemande en Italie du Nord, mais ces accords ne sont pas trop respectés par les Italiens et il y a toute une série d'attentats dans cette région. En 1969, le chancelier autrichien va parvenir à faire respecter ces lois via un traité avec l'Autriche et l'Italie. La minorité allemande en Italie est l'une des plus protégées en Europe.

À partir de 1966, on a des partis monocolores au pouvoir. Josef klaus a un assez bon bilan et va se présenter pour sa réélection en 1970 avec une affiche où il est dit en légende « un vrai autrichien, quiconque cite le FPÖ aide Kreisky ». C'est le seul président qui a fait la guerre, un cri autrichien va l'opposer à Kreisky, opposant socialiste, et pourquoi lui qui est visé ? J'ai décidé de choisir Profeterne i Evighedsfjorden (Les prophètes de l'Eternité) de Kim Leine pour mon examen de culture et de langue. Je l'ai fait pour plusieurs raisons : la première était pragmatique, car j'avais déjà le livre avec moi, et la seconde était due à mon premier choix, qui était trop court. Les Prophètes de l'Eternité a été publié en 2012 et raconte l'histoire d'un prêtre, Morten Falck, qui se rend au Groenland pour répandre la parole de Dieu. L'histoire est basée sur ou inspirée d'événements historiques qui ont eu lieu à la fin du XVIIIe siècle. Le livre a reçu plusieurs prix, dont le prix littéraire du Weekendavisen et le prix De Gyldne Laurbær en 2012, ainsi que le prix littéraire du Politiken et le prix littéraire du Conseil nordique en 2013. Le livre a été publié entre autres en Angleterre, en France, aux Pays-Bas, en Islande et aux États-Unis. Il a connu un grand succès tant en Scandinavie qu'à l'international.

Kim Leine est né le 28 août 1961 à Bø, en Norvège. Il est arrivé au Danemark à l'âge de 17 ans. Après avoir fait ses études à Copenhague, où il a étudié la médecine, il est parti au Groenland, où il est resté pendant 15 ans. En 2004, il est revenu au Danemark et a publié le livre Kalak en 2007. Ont ensuite suivi Valdemarsdag en 2008, Tunu en 2009, Profeterne i Evighedsfjorden en 2012, Afgrunden en 2015, et d'autres encore.
Morten Falck est originaire de Norvège et se rend au Danemark pour devenir pasteur. Il fait ses études à Copenhague et vit chez un imprimeur. Il s'intéresse à différentes choses, notamment l'anatomie, le dessin et la première fille de l'imprimeur, Abelone.

Jeg besluttede mig at vælge Profeterne i Evighedsfjorden af Kim Leine for min eksam i Kultur og sprog. Jeg gjorde det af forskellige årsager : den første var pragmatisk, for jeg havde allerede bogen hos mig of den anden var på grund af min første valg, som var for kort. Profeterne i Evighedsfjorden blev offentliggjort i 2012, og handler om en præst, Morten Falck, der tager til Grønland for at sprede Guds ord. Historien er baseret på eller inspireret af historiske begivenheder, der fandt sted i slutningen af 1700 tallet. Bogen har modtaget flere priser, som den Weekendavisens litteraturpris og De Gyldne Laurbær i 2012 og Politikens Litteraturpris og Nordisk råds litteraturpris i 2013. Bogen er udkommet i bland anden England, Frankrig, Nederland, Island og USA. Den havde stor succes både i skandinavien og internationalt.

Growing sideways in Argentine cinema: Lucía Puenzo's XXY and Julia Solomonoff's El último verano de la boyita

Abstract

This article examines an understudied aspect of recent Argentine filmmaking: the focus on queer and intersex childhood and adolescence in XXY (2007) and El último verano de la boyita/The last summer of La Boyita (2009), analysing them in the light of recent theory on queer childhoods, especially the notion that queer children carve out spaces of resistance to heteronormative models of development through ‘sideways movements', involving the animal. In XXY's utopian politics, the intersex body is figured as a locus of embodied becoming; in El último verano, the child's becoming-animal is the site of strategic, subversive reinscriptions of human–animal connections and their relationship to gender. Both films pair intersex characters with a queer double who models a desiring gaze on the intersexual and in El último verano this is – in both aesthetic and political terms – a child's gaze. Lastly, the article suggests that echoes of an older film, De eso no se habla/I don't want to talk about it, can be identified in these films' emphasis on queer becomings-animal as a means of growing sideways.

Cultural studies and theory are increasingly attending to the queernesses of children, queering notions of childhood1 and analysing how political discourses employ conventional constructions of childhood to perpetuate hetero-norms.2 Significant in this landscape is Kathryn Bond Stockton's book The Queer Child, Or, Growing Sideways in the Twentieth Century which critiques as heteronormative the notion of ‘“growing up” towards full stature, marriage, work, reproduction, and the loss of childishness' (2009: 4). To counter this, Bond Stockton develops the idea of ‘sideways growth' as a queer model of development. In dialogue with the Deleuze and Guattarian notion of affective child–animal associations, of the animal's particular capacity to ‘move' the child (Deleuze and Guattari 2004: 284), Bond Stockton suggests that the child's relationship to the animal may be a way of fashioning a crucial delay or pause in normative patterns of development. She writes: ‘animal/child affectionate bondings can offer opportunities, queer as they will seem, for children's motions inside their delay, making delay a sideways growth the child in part controls for herself, in ways confounding her parents and her future' (2004: 90). This article discusses two recent Argentine films which queer childhood or model subjective or corporeal flexibility through queer children or adolescents, and which heighten the transformational potential and mutability traditionally associated with childhood by employing images of becomings-animal as a means of resisting the technologies of power, violence and identity traversing the queer child's body.3

Lucía Puenzo's XXY and Julia Solomonoff's El último verano de la boyita both focus on young intersex characters, pairing them with non-intersex but queer companions of a similar age. The Intersex Society of North America defines ‘intersex' as ‘a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn't seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male' (ISNA). The films discussed constitute a quite unprecedented intervention on the part of Argentine cinema into international debates on intersexuality, as well as into global queer filmmaking, which had hitherto passed over this theme.4 Within the Argentine context, a recent focus on lesbian and gay themes, and the foundation of an LBGT Film Festival, ‘Diversa',5 can be understood as part of the growing emphasis in Argentine cinema on marginal subjectivities and histories, perspectives which have been associated with the aesthetic shifts and distinctive gazes of the last fifteen years of Argentine filmmaking. The focus on marginal sexualities (intersexuality, homosexuality and child sexuality) and on childhood and youth, brings these two films into dialogue with the insistent focus in recent Argentine cinema on the young. Recent child-related films include Caetano's Francia/France, Carri's La rabia/Anger, Martel's La ciénaga/The Swamp, La niña santa/The Holy Girl and La mujer sin cabeza/The Headless Woman, and Murga's Una semana solos/A Week Alone.6 The ‘newness' of contemporary Argentine cinema is in part a product of its privileging of young characters (Oubiña 2008: 39) whilst the ‘newness' of its gaze can be partly attributed to the capacity of the young to see the world differently.7 If the child figures in modern culture and cultural theory as a ‘site of transgressive possibility', a form that images the transgression of the limits of subjectivity (Castañeda 2002: 146), then the presence of childhood and youth in the contemporary cinema of Argentina – a country which has recently experienced intense crisis and renewal – can be attributed to the need to imagine transformations and transgressions resulting from the identitarian, subjective and ideological shifts and fissures occasioned during this period of upheaval.

Both films bring about new ways of looking, in particular as a means of overcoming or rejecting the medicalizing gaze which has produced the modern intersex body. Each is an intervention in the visual field, bringing the intersex body to the cinema screen for the first time and features the doubling mechanism proposed by Halberstam in her analysis of films about transgendered characters,8 surrounding the intersex character with other queer characters in order ‘to remove the nodal point of normativity' (2005: 78), thereby rejecting a medical gaze and creating queer community around the intersex character. These queer doubles model a desiring gaze on the intersex character, thus answering Kaja Silverman's appeal for ‘visual texts which activate in us the capacity to idealize bodies which diverge as widely as possible both from ourselves and from the cultural norm' (1996: 37). In both films, too, the animal is employed as a means of going beyond the human, in ways which subversively re-cite dominant cultural meanings of the animal. Children and animals form queer

assemblages and allow for queer becomings.9 Through the animal, queer and intersex characters resist heteronormative models of gender and corporeality, and pause, or divert from, straight developmental narratives. The child's becoming-animal constitutes a sideways growth, a movement which ‘questions developmental models based on one's steady progress toward genital maturity and one's “growing up” to reproductive goals' (Bond Stockton 2004: 281). Through the animal, the films figure intersexuality as positive difference, as a corporeality always becoming other than itself.
